Hello everyone,

I'm really interested in subscribing to both Interzone and Black static for the 12 issues which is quite a lot of money straight up.

Personally I'd just like to know what kind of Magazine Interzone is. It's being labeled as a SF/F magazine but it seems to be mostly dominated by Science Fiction.

What kind of SF and/or F will I find in there?

Well, I'll only bother you people with one more question.

Is there anywhere in Rotterdam where I can purchase one of these magazines so I can check them out? (If not I suppose I could always order a backissue from the site)

Thanks in advance :)

Interzone is mostly science fiction, although they do publish the occasional fantasy story. They publish a good deal of what I call SciFi Strange, as detailed at At that link you will also find links to reprints of some recent Interzone stories.

Personally, Interzone is my favorite SF magazine. While I also subscribe to F&SF, Asimov's and other places, Interzone is the only magazine I read cover to cover, and can't wait for the arrival of each new issue.

As for where in Rotterdam you can purchase Interzone, I'm afraid I know nothing about that.

I hope this helps.

You can get some examples by looking at some of the free stories and pod casts from preivious issues:-

Hi Michael

Rotterdam I don't know but George Berger told me Iz was on sale at the American Book Center,
SPUI 12,
1012 XA,

and an issue will set you back €7.95, which was over £6 in June last year.
I'd say there is more SF than fantasy in IZ but the boundary is very slippery in IZ. The offer of a free trial copy of BS 12 may still be open if you are quick as the mailing would be next week.
