The acceptance order will usually also be the publication order...
1. Eyepennies by Mike O'Driscoll (17,000 words)
2. Spin by Nina Allan (23,000 words)
3. Cold Turkey by Carole Johnstone (40,000 words)

I'm now able to confirm Novellas 4 and 5:
4. The Teardrop Method by Simon Avery (26,000 words)
5. Country Dark by James Cooper (41,000 words)

Hurray - I was hoping Cooper's would be one of them, having seen it mentioned on his site. Looks like a great line up.

More people should be reading Simon Avery as well. The Teardrop Method is a truly exceptional piece of work. (As is his novella in Crimewave 12, The Only Broken Blonde.)

Thoroughly looking forward to these. Well worth the subscription. I loved the Gary McMahon novella, 'The Harm', and have been eagerly awaiting news of more.

I reckon 101 Ways to Leave Paris was one of the standout stories from Crimewave 10. And who can forget Bury the Carnival, from the very first Black Static?

Thrilled to announce that Novella 6 will be: Reclamation Yard by Paul MeloyTTA readers and fans of Islington Crocodiles will be delighted to learn that it's a Quay-Endula story. Newer readers shouldn't worry about that. Start here! Please help spread the word about this, and the novella series as a whole. We need to be doing a lot better than we are... Thanks.

A somewhat nerdy question - what's the wordcount of Reclamation Yard? It's not in the Black Static "Story Acceptances" thread.
Which leads to a wider question - given this is now appearing in Black Static #40 and not now appearing as a separate novella, are the Simon Avery and James Cooper still coming out as standalones? (The Cooper is rather too long to fit in a magazine and 41k takes it beyond novella and into short novel territory.) And are there likely to be any further novellas beyond the initial five?
