INTERACTION

I've got a six week show on Future Radio (www.futureradio.co.uk) on Tuesdays from 3-4pm for the next five weeks (it started last week but I didn't find out until after the broadcast - their online schedule has yet to be updated too).

Titled "Listen Hard, Listen Good" I'm focussing on songs where I think the lyrics are particularly important and examining the relationship (in a very light, non-intellectual way) between music and lyrics. This week I'm playing stuff by Ramones, Emilie Simone (with lyrics by Graham Joyce), Robyn Hitchcock, Bjork, Maximo Park and others I can't currently remember.

There's currently no podcast available, so listening live is the only option. And anyone outside 3 miles of Norwich will have to listen online. But do listen, please

Apparently the show was well received. Of course, as it was pre-recorded I was at work when it was broadcast so didn't get to hear it myself. Ah well. More next week

Third show in this six-parter starts at 3pm today for an hour over at www.futureradio.co.uk (although they still haven't updated their playlist to show it). Music from XTC, Violent Femmes, Kate Rusby, and Pop Will Eat Itself amongst others. Plus some chat about the lyrics from me.
