Caught it last night at the cinema and enjoyed it, hope they bring out some more based on the novels. I believe there was another Matt Scudder movie filmed with Jeff Bridges a while back, with major changes to the plot.

There was also a film called Burglar based on another of Block's series with Whoopi Goldberg as Bernie Rhodenbarr.
