I think this is free but I cannot go. Might be useful for those of you in the North West with projects in mind.

Digital Arts Projects Funding Workshop - Grants for the Arts
11 Feb 2015 - 1.00PM
Seminar 1pm-2.15pm (Opportunities for one-one-one advice sessions from 2.30pm-4pm, booking in advance essential)
Location: MMU John Dalton Building (on Oxford Road), Room JD E221.

Are you considering making a Grants for the Arts funding application for a literature project with a digital focus? (Or any arts project with a digital focus?) Arts Council England and Comma Press are hosting a one-off, free seminar on how to optimise your GftA application.
The session will cover:
- The kind of digital arts projects ACE will fund.
- A step-by-step guide to key sections of the application form.
- Examples of successful and unsuccessful applications (and the reasons for this).
- A case study with Reform Radio on their successful GftA bid for 'Harry' last year.
- Advice from Comma on what makes a successful and innovative arts/digital project, and how to find suitable digital collaborators.

The opportunity for a one-on-one session with Alison Boyle of Arts Council England, to discuss the preparation of your application. While the session will specifically focus on literature/digital projects, the advice and outcomes will be applicable to all art forms (Theatre, Music, Visual Arts etc).

To book your place, please email Ra.Page (ra.page@commapress.co.uk) with your name, your contact details, the name of your organisation and the artform you work in (please put 'DIGITAL SEMINAR' in the subject line).

*If you've already started a Grants for the Arts online application, or have well-developed ideas for a project, and would like a 15-minute one-on-one session with Alison Boyle of Arts Council England, please let us know in your email. It is advised that you only book one of these sessions if your idea is already fairly well developed.*
