Following on from the "A Word From Quality Control" thread, let's have a thread to record for posterity the amusing typos we see in the course of our daily reading.
This is just for fun, so no naming and shaming, unless you really feel you have to.
From books I've read recently:-
A stately home with a 'coy pond' (they also have a 'bashful bedroom' and a 'shy outside loo').
Time for seasonal cartwheels with 'summersaults' and from the same source an 'on suite bathroom'.
A man who waves his hat 'backwards and forewords'.

I read today about someone wringing the necks of chickens "discretely" on the way to the kitchen, as opposed to doing them all at once, I guess.

Just stumbled upon this double whammy in an amazon review:-
He is a graceful and is kind and genital with us
He will let us know by shuttle means
I'm almost, but not quite, convinced those are deliberate errors, for the sake of a laugh.

Don't know if it would be considered amusing or not. A little over two months ago I caught two glaring typos on the blog of one of the biggest editors in the genre biz... but then, I have some pharmacy tech experience under my belt, so it might have been likely he or she did not know the correct spelling of the two terms at the time.

I was watching the DVD of Mad Max the other day and in the extras is a list of other films made by George Miller. Apparently he directed a movie starring Nicole Kidman called "Dead Clam".
