Author: Peter Tennant

Today is the official release date for A Cold Season, the first novel by writer Alison Littlewood, whose story 'Black Feathers' from Black Static #22 will appear shortly in The Best Horror of the Year Volume 4 edited by Ellen Datlow, and in company with Simon Bestwick's 'Dermot' from #24.

A Cold Season has been released in paperback by Jo Fletcher Books, the new genre imprint of Quercus.

The book is a Spring 2012 selection for the Richard and Judy Book Club.

If you're in the vicinity of Waterstone's, 93-97 Albion Street, Leeds on Saturday the 7th of January at 11.00 then you can Meet the Author, and the official launch party for the book will take place at the same venue on Thursday the 12th (advance booking required for the latter - for full details of each event, click on the third link below).

You can read an extract from the book at the Quercus website, and visit Alison's website for latest news including details of more signing events.

Finally, Alison Littlewood will be our featured author in the Case Notes section of Black Static #27 due out in February, with an in-depth review of the novel by Stephen Theaker and an interview conducted by me.
