Nina Allan’s short fiction has appeared in Interzone, The Third Alternative, Black Static, Midnight Street and the World Fantasy Award-winning Strange Tales from Tartarus. Her story ‘Angelus’ won the 2007 Aeon Award and was subsequently published in Albedo One. Her story collection, A Thread of Truth, was released by Eibonvale Press. Nina lives in London.

Chris Beckett is a former social worker and now university lecturer who lives in Cambridge. He is the author of twelve stories for Interzone: three of them, "La Macchina" (issue 46), "The Welfare Man" (issue 74) and "Valour" (issue 141 ) were taken for anthologies. "La Macchina" appeared in Gardner Dozois's The Year's Best SF and in another US anthology, Gendanken Fictions. "The Welfare Man" appeared in The Best of Interzone; "Valour" and "The Marriage of Sky and Sea" were both taken for Year's Best Science Fiction 5 (Harper Eos); and "The Warrior Half-and-Half" features in the Big Engine Interzone collection The Ant-Men of Tibet and Other Stories.

Paul Berger has been a Japanese bureaucrat, a Harvard graduate student, an M.I.T. program administrator, an internet entrepreneur, a butterfly wrangler and a Wall Street recruiter, which, in the aggregate, may have prepared him for nothing except the creation of speculative fiction. His work has appeared in/on Interzone, Polyphony 6, Twenty Epics, All-Star Zeppelin Adventure Stories, Ideomancer and Escape Pod, and he wrote the first true-life memoir published in Weird Tales. Paul is a founding member of the Altered Fluid writing group and a 2008 graduate of the Clarion Writer’s Workshop.

Leah Bobet lives and works in a little apartment in Toronto built on consecrated ground. Her fiction has appeared in Interzone, Strange Horizons, The Mammoth Book of Extreme Fantasy and Clockwork Phoenix, and her poetry has been nominated for the Rhysling and Pushcart Prizes. She is, like many, working on a novel.
