My first sighting of Black Static in the wild
Borders Books, Stockport's Peel Centre.
Interzone 222 among titles like SFX, Bite Me and Gorezone with Black Static 10 unobtrusive in the corner next to Dark Side all on the stand's mid section.
In the bottom section down among the X men, AD 2000, Judge Dreads were the US digests: F&SF, Analog, Asimovs.

Me too, now. Especially as the satuaration makes it hard to sell vampire stories these days (if you don't write latex-wearing fight-fests or teenage angsty romance).

MNM Newsagents in Macclesfieldhave two copies of Black Static 14 on sales but IZ 226 has not arrived yet. The appearance of BS is new.
They also have 2 copies of the March 2010 Analog.

Heck! Redruth newsagents has copies of the latest issue of Interzone... unheard of! Not bought it since the 80s but got one in the cause!

Yesterday Redruth, tomorrow or at least March-April, beginning with IZ227, Interzone will be distributed to the following countries:
Germany
Greece
Cyprus
Austria
Norway
Croatia
USA (includes Barnes & Noble)
New Zealand
Australia
Hong Kong
Singapore
via the new distributor (Pineapple Media UK).
I'm assuming this means special traveller/tourist frequented bookshops in big cities rather than village newsagents so let us know if you come across IZ in the wild.

Has anyone seen IZ 227 in retail yet? Newsagent or bookshop other than specialist SF emporia like Forbidden Planet or Transreal?

Denizens of Derby, at yesterday's Alt Fiction, told me that new issues of Interzone and Black Static are regularly on sale at a 'stall' on Derby's Guildhall market. They sell a good selection of genre and related magazines including Analog, Fangoria, SFX.
I think the image is the stall referred to.
