Something of an experiment... I’ve had printed TEN copies of my story STRAY DOGS, which first appeared in Black Static #32. Each copy is numbered and signed and runs to 30 printed pages. The finished product looks terrific, and I’m offering them for sale at £6.00 each, plus £2.00 p&p. There are only 10 copies available and no more will be printed in this format again.

If you’re interested in ordering a copy, please email me at james.cooper01@hotmail.co.uk

If you'd like to find out more about the book first, please click on the following link: http://www.jamescooperfiction.co.uk/thexseries.htm

Should the experiment prove successful, I may well consider producing 10 copy runs of one or two other titles in the near future...

For those still unsure, here's a reminder of the opening paragraphs of STRAY DOGS:

Let me tell you a secret, something I’ve never told another living soul, something I need you to know. I steal families. I creep into their homes and watch the mummies and daddies asleep. I smile at the children in their beds, imagining their safe dreams, listening to them breathe in the dark. Then I take them. I walk around the house and feverishly rip the photos from their frames; I steal their happiness. I can see it in their eyes, the painlessness of their perfect life. That’s what I think I want; what I tell myself I truly deserve: a happy family. That hideous middle-class cliché of love.

When I’m done I pay a visit to the old Willingdon house. I take out a Vacutainer tube and allow myself a little blood. I close my eyes; the metallic taste soothes me. I stare at my new family until it grows light.

Only TWO copies left... Many thanks to those who've already purchased.

To entice the hesitant and sell the remaining two copies, I'll even throw in a special Stray Dogs bookmark!
