Hard luck Pete, but well done Black Static! Great to see Roy up on stage collecting the award.

I was very pleased with the results. In the years I've been a member, I've never seen so many things I recommended go on to pick up awards. Especially chuffed for Chomu Press and Midnight in Paris.

Thanks chaps and chapesses but we need someone cooler than myself to lift the trophy for Black Static.
In my acceptance I called Victoria Leslie 'Veronica' and that completely threw me and I forgot to mention Alison, Pete, Simon Bestwick, our esteemed columnists etc. - a good set of whom were up for other awards, though in Stephen Volk's case, not for anything Black Static related.

I also thought TTA was soon forgotten in the various paeans of praise for independent presses but we got an award.

Tell them it was your evil twin Ray. You couldn't stop him Roy I bet he shaved off his evil beard too. Bastard. :D
And congrats again, I wish I could have seen you up there though!

Well, I wasn't expecting to win, given the quality of the field in the non-fiction category, but well chuffed about Black Static. A most deserving winner, even if I am totally biased.

Looking back at my choices for the awards, it seems that I was a lot more accurate in the categories where I hadn't read/seen anything, than those where I had. Oops!

Roy, I've seen photos of you at FantasyCon and you look pretty darn cool to me.

I don't think mullets are cool are they? I so should have had a hair cut before FantasyCon. Hell, more than one.
