I must stop visiting Starburst. Next I'll be reading Scream or Shock Horror. This person has obviously never watched a horror film before. Friends, Inbred is a witless piece of crap that's about as embarrassing to British film making as our national football teams are to... Having said that, it is better than most in this apparent renaissance, and a lot better than some. I just happened to read that particular review today.

All the DVD reviews on Starburst seem to be the same, and 6/10 seems to be the score, or am I wrong about that? They all say to me "haven't actually watched it" or "don't have an opinion of my own". Cabin in the Woods got 10/10 though. Figures.
I'm not going back there. Honest. I was wondering what they thought of Lovely Molly (no review as yet) then got distracted.

I take it back, they have actually reviewed Lovely Molly, the theatrical release. 6/10.

I just stumbled across a review of BS29 at The Horror Fiction Review a couple of days ago. They acknowledge that Black Static is "the UK's (and the world's) best horror fiction magazine", so I think that counts as a win.

Everybody else is going to Starburst now so why should I stop? Ultimate Zombie Feast. Not really ultimate. Very mixed bag of short and slightly longer films, many dire, only a couple that look like the makers actually enjoyed the experience (tellingly these are also the most amateur), unavoidably repetitive and old hat. Starburst rating: 7/10. My rating: 2/10. We Are The Night. German vampire film. Pure class. Even Tony Lee likes this, calling it the best vampire film in many years (BS31). Starburst rating: 6/10 (yay!). My rating: 9/10. As Good As Dead. Not actually remotely sf/f/h. Tedious revenge 'thriller' with a twist you twigged several years before you were even born. Starburst rating: 7/10. My rating: a generous 2/10. Other recent Starburst DVD reviews? 6/10 bar none I guess.
