We've gone from a team that played football badly to a team that plays no football at all. I despair.

My condolences to Andy and the other England fans. Things looked so hopeful in the group stages. Perhaps this new lineup/manager combination just needs a bit more time to gel.

Any predictions for tonight's semi? So... Spain continue to try walking/passing the ball into the net. Portugal rely entirely on a flash of genius from Ronaldo. 1-0 to Portugal after AET. That should guarantee a seven-goal thriller!

Can't fail to be a great game, can it. Good luck to Chris and Des.

A scrappy game, but like the Engalnd - Italy match, justice was done, perhaps here more marginally, with penalties. Congrats to Chris.

Spain are definitely there for the taking. Someone's just got to get it together to take them. Hoped it would be Portugal - not for Ronaldo, but for the likes of Moutinho and Coentrao who had a really good tournament. Ah, well.
It's down to the Italians or the Germans.

Podolski hat-trick would be nice as I have him for top scorer at 25/1 and most of the players with three are out

You know I really can see this being a 3-2 after extra time job. And, as much as I've enjoyed German, I think I'd like to see Italy pull through. 1/ Because I felt the could have taken the Spanish in their first game and think they can again, and 2/ because it'd set up a Jim Steel v Chris Murdoch final for the second tournament in a row. You've no idea how much fun it was watching the two of them watch the World Cup final. Talk about kicking every ball.

Well played, Italy. I'll be cheering them on in the final.

Puts England into better perspective. ...unbeaten in real-play.

You can't rely on anyone. They could, at least, have got to the final. Balotelli looks a bit of a threat, like Adebayor a few years ago.
