Custard slice or chocolate eclair?

"The Pest House" gave me a nightmare!

I know I'm in the wrong bit of the forum for this but I loved "Black Feathers" Alison- it's an awesome story

Thanks Priya! :D

Look forward to reading yours in BS28 - I know, I'm lagging (cough!)

And indeed in BNH4 - hoping it finds its way to deepest darkest Yorkshire soon :D

This was a classic issue. Some really terrific stories of the kind that I expect from Black Static - the sort of stories that work their way under your skin and unsettle you deep inside.

Favourites were Jon Ingold's 'Cracks', Priya Sharma's 'Ballad of Boomtown', and Daniel Kaysen's 'Pale Limbs'. Seriously, when are we going to see a Daniel Kaysen collection, because I will be first in line for a copy.

Hi Priya! Great to see you published in Black Static. You have come far since the Dark Tales days.

Only four days left to enter the Bryant & May competition.

(With apologies to any overseas readers, Mike, who haven't received their copy yet. Please email me if you'd like to enter.)

Good news, thanks Mike. Copies to Canada often seem to take longer, I don't know why... But then some missing copies turned up in Norwich the other day -- took five months.

Glad I visited this thread. I'd forgotten to arrange the Bryant & May draw. Will get that done this afternoon.

Ooh, did the Bryant and May draw get drawn?

Sorry for the awful sentence (typing with fingers crossed)... :D

I saw the little note which said the contents page has been removed. However the careful reader will spot that the contents are listed on the front cover. Perhaps the page numbers could be slipped in next issue? :)

I must admit I have skipped the reviews of the vampire anthologies. The recent spate of american teenage serialisations of vampires and whatnot have killed them off for me (pardon the pun)
