The Fall of the City of Silver is a great story too - really enjoyed it.

Just finished The Ever-Dreaming Verdict of Plagues which I really enjoyed. Coincidently I just saw this story on the BBC and it reminded me of the idea of "Village AIs" in that story (and Plague Birds)

Sam Tomaino's review of IZ236 on SFRevu.
"Interzone is the best science fiction magazine in the world!"

Mine was in my university mailbox last Wednesday. I don't know when it arrived. I am looking forward to reading Jason Sanford's sequel to "Plague Birds," one of the most interesting stories of any kind I have read in a long time.

Completely forgot that this was about due, so it was a pleasant surprise when it turned up in the mail last week: Tuesday, 27th September, in Auckland, New Zealand.

A fine issue - with my personal favourites being Fiona Moore's excellent 'The Metaphor' - exactly the kind of SF I love, fractured realities, existential panic. And Mercurio D Rivera's "Tethered", which was wonderful. I tend to prefer more earthbound SF, but I've very much enjoyed this universe of the Wergen and, unlike Lois Tilton, I find it quite convincing.

Just submitted Iz 236 to F'wise. Might go 'live' on 21/2. At first I put it in the 'Self Improvement' category. A slip of the mouse. Corrected that now but analogous to a typo what do we call such errors -clickos?

I just finished reading Jason Sanford's 'The Ever-Dreaming Verdict of Plagues' (IZ 236), a sequel to his 'Plague Birds' (IZ 228). These are two of the most interesting, subtle, and imaginative stories that I have read in more than one year. Both are philosophically deep and ingenious; reading them requires concentration and a willingness to read closely. I did both with the first tale, and wrote this. Note Mr Sanford's reaction. I hope to write about the sequel soon.
