A horrible thought has occurred - Rebeckah is clearly upping the romantic stakes in the hope of surviving the eviction. Will she invite Aden into the toilets fpr counselling?

Indeed.
And is Aden acting the callow youth or is he the callow youth? If either, it's quite impressive.

One of the best BB tasks ever - the 'free will' / predestination 'yes' task - as they chant "Really really really" in successfully completing it. (Did I imagine a glimpse of Jay's task with the chicken dinner - that I originally missed being shown in full?)

And the 'skin' theme continues - i.e Alex's miscegenation, Faye's tattoo and Maisy's Aden-spotted spot. Maisy is a blonde bombshell under wraps who simmers to the camera's surface from time to time: still a winner in the wings? Like Mark?

And here's a quiz question:- what was the combination code for opening the safe that contained the number five. A book prize from me for the first non-Marion to post the correct answer on this thread. (I'll be sending Marion a book after BB has finished, i.e. for all her reportage efforts, in any event, and just because she is a good egg).

Were they chanting 'really really really' Des?

Aden is puzzling me. The other evening the thought occurred, for the first time, that no one is THAT naive and that he had cast himself in the role of ingenu. Last night the so carefully contrived confrontation and the later agonised love talk raised my suspicions a level higher. Is it possible that he has out-Rebeckahed Rebeckah?
If I were Aden, writing my narrative on entering the house, I would know I could not cast myself as Romeo or Casanaova (not with those hamster cheeks). The only possible role is lovelorn victim. Then I meet Rebeckah - and become lovelorn puppy following evil older woman ...oh, the anguish of the public when they see me humiliated and manipulated...oh, the shaking of heads when I declare my love and tell her I don't care about her past...
Hmmm...
And why the deep revelations to lovely Maisie? Is she a possible susbstitute for Rebeckah in the event of eviction?

Apparently , Jay consumed THREE whole chickens. They forgot to mention whether he scoffed the feathers too. I expect he did! The other thing glossed over in the house was Harry and jay swapping accents outside the DR. That looked quite funny.
All must be sacrificed to LURV! The Channel 4 mistake. (Sniff) - you recall I nearly aad a nervous breakdown over John James and Josie and their tatty duvet last year, Des? There must be no repeat of that - Becks must go tonight.

A quiz! Come on then, readers, what's that number!

Arrivederci, Beckah -Don't-touch-my-face!

I am looking forward to her interview. Let's hope she goes on as she did inside the house. And let's hope Brian doesn't try to kiss her - she doesn't like it, Brian!

Channel 5 sems anxious to show as many Hms as possible in one eveniong. Whichis good. But we end up getting tantalising little snippets out of context which drives m mad.

Faye, for example, lying in bed with her sunglasses on, was afraid to get up to go to the bathroom because Evil Tom was in there brushing his teeth. Was she weaing sunglasses to try and conceal her identity from him? Was the row last night much bigger than we were allowed to see?

One thing is not in doubt, however - the amount of sex talk the men indulge in. Aden cornered poor Maisie again and chatted her up. He maintains he is a sex maniac and that the two weeks in the house is the longest he has been without since he started - y'know what he means and he isn't talking about Tommy Tanking in case she was in doubt- and he paid her a compliment - he knows, just knows, that she is as great a sex maniac as he is and must be missing it.
He ran on and on while Maisie slithered further and further away from him across the grass.
'Go away,' she muttered, but whether she was referring to the wasp buzzing round her or to Aden is unclear.

Aden's bragging, however, is nothing compared to Jay's. He scorned Aden's tally of 40 partners - he gets that in a weekend, he says. he went on at some length about the lovely cuddle he had with Maisie last night. His blue eys blazed with pleasure at the memory. He claims that he is a 'f*****g machine and that in the outsuide world he;d have banged her.
Oh, dear - in the outside world he wouldn't get within fifty yards of her. He also maintains that Faye fancies him too - he knows because she was madly jealous that he cuddled with Maisie last night. No, Jay - she was upset about her set to with Tom.
Jay is mucho macho (he seems not to have heard that macho ain't mucho). His daily exercise routines are a source of shock and awe to the other HMs.
But the relentless machismo is wearing. It was therefore a joy to see Aaron and Mark sending it up in the DR when BB asked could they take Jay on in a fight. Mark suggested defending himself by disracting Jay with a protein drink and attacking him from behind and running away. Aaron favoured trying a tranquiliser dart. There miming and mockery of ferociios masculinity was a treat - and such a relief from over active gonads and testosterone. In the end, the boys did not jpin Jay's exercise routine in the garden but settled for a little gentle dancing with Alex.
You may well be right about Mark, Des. He can be very appealing in his whacky way.

Alex suggested a game of airlines - she used to be a stewardess. Only she slipped up and said 'steward' - I'm almost certain she did. Hmm.
No matter - she was very offended by Harry's speculation about what she might have got up to in the cockpit.

Rebeckah's increasing desperation about the eviction drove her to ante up the Romance. She discussed marriage with Aden and how she wouldn't change her surname to his. She cuddled and wheedled and flattered but still went off her rocker when he tried to kiss her. 'Don't touch my face!' I'd love to know more about this neurosis.

Aaron's luck was in - Faye and Masie joined him in bed. Rebeckah was with Aden.
Only Anton continues to sleep alone. He's a dour creature.

Yes, Mark is real good BB material - as he showed in the DR tonight. Creative with miming the tranquiliser dart. He also shows wisdom from time to time when advising others with a wry sense of humour.

Yes, 'dour' is a good word for Anton.

Maisy looks too innocent to be Maisy.
She's more like Marion's twirling avatar.

PS: The views on this thread seem to be increasing exponentially - currently about 500 per day.

The Eviction

Heaven was jubilant in the DR - Amun-Ra!

An interesting digression:

http://www.egyptian-witchcraft.com/Amun_Ra.htm

tells you all about negative energies and the 47 rituals.

Aden failed to be convincingly heartbroken despite his tears and sniffling. Even at the end of the show when Heaven said something about Rebeckah which he deemed offensive, his wrath resembled that of a dyspeptic hamster being denied a Rennies. He never stopped chewing his popcorn or whatever it was either. He's an irritating little tick.

Rebeckah followed her usual line - she is honest and truthful and genuine and herself. Then Brian showed her the film of her lies. But it turned out it was all Aden's fault although he never appeared on the screen.
She nominated Heaven because she's honest. Heaven didn;t nominate her because she wanted to look good. Becks has a mind like a corkscrew.
Her parting message to the others was graceless (what else). Anton and Heaven in particular were under attack, then all the others with the exceptions of Harry and Maisie.
She appears to have willed Maisie to Aden. Hit the ground running, maisie.
She also swears her love for Aden is real.
Oh, what!

So who's up next?
Anton? Heaven? Wouldn't Aden be a good choice?

Thanks, Marion.
Meanwhile, Rebec-kah wriggeled and wriggled in self deception.
A new book has just come out:
http://www.penguin.co.uk/nf/Book/BookDi ... 69,00.html

Deceit and Self-Deception
Fooling Yourself the Better to Fool Others
» Robert Trivers
Allen Lane
Hardback : 06 Oct 2011

Concerns also the (mis-?) 'confidence' implicit in world economy and politics. The underpinning that the world's self-deception provides for human being-racism - as a good or bad force?
Individual people necessarily in denial ...

And, for me, the Internet itself (and its inhabitants) as the central force that now underpins all these machinations of self, Proustian selves, and survival / natural selection. - again for good or ill?

Books themselves now surviving as non-tree hypertext...but killing the centuries-old treebook version in the process.

Thanks, Des. That makes Heaven and her 47 rituals of Amun Ra look like an extra from the Waltons!

Machinations of self on the Internet - good or ill?
The Internet is like bows and arrows and nuclear power, I suppose it depends what you do with it.
There is nothing new in 'les moi en moi' but the Internet (and reality tv) allows mass distribution of the chosen self and it's confabulations. So the serial killer joins the romantic dating site; or the scrawny bespectacled travel agent who works in an obscure branch up at Auchtermuchty becomes a warrior, a wise man, a soul screaming in agony - whatever he chooses.

'Self under self
A pile of selves I stand'

Rebeckah is, I think, a screaming soul. One of these days she'll start screaming and never stop unless she can face exposure on BB and hastily construct another narrative of self.

A major post on that very internet, Marion. Wisdom, indeed. Thanks.

I think this is the first time ever with BB that I'm in such two minds about a situation: about acting and genuineness; whether Aden is so distraught or thinks he is distraught or acting he is distraught. Equally with Beckah - bad girl, or acting bad girl, or not knowing she is bad girl or she is a BB mole or conniving (or Aden is a BB mole or conniving)... But if the worst case scenario is true, then BB has a lot to answer for with such emotional turmoil being evoked for public viewing.

I enjoyed Mark's lateral thinking Ricky Gervaise act in the DR about Mummy Long Legs etc.

Devil Woman

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTp_Yy9QHBw

Did you see a tear in Aden's eyes, Des? We heard him cry but did not see it - he kept his head well down. I reckon he's playing to the gallery. His farewell to Rebeckah was punctuated by that hissing snigger he does. It's quite alarming really, like someone with their two front teeth missing trying to whistle. Or else a very angry kitten.

Anyway, he hissed at Aaron and Heaven and everyone really, and demonstrated his heartbreak at every possible opportunity. He wept in Heaven's arms, being careful to mend fences with her after last night's sharp words. She, good soul, worried that he was missing his pizza all by himself in the garden. (loved that bit! She ruined the Camille) effect)

He also kept Anton, named snake by Rebeckah, on side. Between sobs, he reassured Anton that they were in fact cool, still mates etc etc He must be one of the most calculating HMs we've ever seen!

The weeping in the DR was accompanied by little karate chops to demonstrate the violence of his sorrow. For Anton, the chops went sideways. For Mark and Jay, he lchanged tactics, ay back and allowed much stroking of his hair, rubbing of his legs, and manly hugging and kissing, while he wept and sobbed and snivelled. They assured him that Rebeckah adored him (not what they said a while earlier), and that he was cool and grown up and his parents were proud of him. I;m afraid I'm with the Spartan mothers - come back with your shield or on it!
I wonder what the two men were really thinking through all this.

Anyway, Aden managed to keep the cameras on himself all evening. And when the HMs all went inside and he had no audience, he sat wrapped in Heaven's fur throw and wearing her positive energy sparkly bracelet and talked to himself.
'i love you, Rebeckah,' he whispered , heartbroken. 'You're thinking of me Rebeckah. You're wondering what to do about me, Rebeckah'
which is very odd phraseology, not found anywhere in the love sonnets of Shakespeare or Petrarch. A cue to that girl to go and big up the love affair to the press?

Rebeckah may be gone, but she haunts the place like an evil demon.

There were one or two glimpses of other HMs tonight. Heaven wishes to heal all Africa through the performing arts. Good luck with that, Heaven - Somalia awaits you. She is quite unabashed to be pleased that Rebeckah has gone and to see that it is best for Aden that she is. Silly Heaven - this script pf Aden's is worth a mint.

Anton also was unequivocal - Rebeckah is the Devil roaming the house disguised as a manicurist offering to paint people's nails. He still smarts from her parting shot, as do most of them.

PS - Rebeckah is interesting, trying to present as the good time girl with a cynical edge. But she gave her spiteful and vindictive nature away several times - over Pamela Anderson and her false accusations against Heaven, even her departure video.
She pretended to be amusingly naughty but was in fact a very nasty personality.

I always thought 'Devil Woman' the best Cliff Richard 45 single of all time. That and 'The Young Ones'.

And here we have today's young ones - all in a tangled loop of 'headless chicken' tantrums and celebritification and politically correct caringness coupled with the most strident back-biting within emotional ambivalence.

I take your wise words that Aden is sending signals of collusion with his behaviour inside to his partner-in-crime outside.
