Thanks, Pete. The other thing I wanted to link to was proof of the musical genius of Nick Cave. This is a promo for the Sydney Opera House. Nick Cave's "The Ship Song", performed at the Opera House by a variety of musicians. Gives me goosebumps every time I see it.

Thanks, Pete! Did you watch the clip? I don't know if it will have more meaning to Australians because the faces (such as the also-brilliant Paul Kelly) but I adore the song and the way it's performed.
Nick Cave's music is often writing music for me.

I enjoyed that, despite not knowing any of them. That album always feels Christmassy to me - I listened to it a lot on my first Christmas back from uni.
Would have been interesting if they'd chosen a different Nick Cave song, e.g. Stagger Lee!

Interesting that it feels Christmassy to you. Music is almost like smell for bringing back memories, isn't it?
Stagger Lee might be a good one if they were promoting Old Melbourne Gaol, perhaps!

I watched it, but I can't comment on the song as I have no sound on my computer, and not really familiar with Nick Cave. Looked good, even though I didn't recognise anyone.
