Good issue. The standout story for me was Mercurio D Rivera's For Love's Delirium Haunts the Fractured Mind. Next favourite after that, Matthew Cook's Insha'Allah.

I agree with John's comment about Al Robertson's "Of Dawn" - whilst I enjoyed it, it did feel more like a Black Static story than an Interzone one.

I disagree with, Mike. The Robertson story, to me, feels like a Third Alternative story, but as it's not horror story it doesn't belong in Black Static. Perhaps it falls between the TTA stools a little, but I've read this sort of tale in Interzone before over the years and it felt to me like a nice change of pace.
And, as a story, I loved it.

So - is Eleven Minutes by Gareth L. Powell the first out-and-out humorous story in Interzone for ages? I can't remember the last time there was a light-hearted story like this one! While I don't think the whole magazine should be like that, it did make for a refreshing change.
When was the last time there was a story like that one?

Rachel Swirsky's Again and again and again was similar in tone I thought (and length, come to think of it).
I agree it's quite refreshing.
