I compiled a fiction index at the weekend, mainly for my own use, but we might post it to the site at some stage.
Anyone care to guess, without flicking through back issues or looking at online ToCs, who our most regular contributor is?

I'd say Cooper at a guess, maybe Johnstone? Or Meloy.

Meloy, only one I'm afraid. Three for Johnstone and four for Cooper, but one writer has more...

Must be the power of advertising then - those crocodiles are misleading. I'll let others guess for a bit (so I can go home and check my magazines).

Alright, I won't. But I'll add McMahon for now.
I'm going to owe someone an apology aren't I...

McMahon weighs in with three, but is not the front runner.

Well done Ross. Joel has four BS credits, but Daniel Kaysen is top dog with six credits.
Here's the full top ten of Black Static contributors:-
Daniel Kaysen - 6
Tim Casson - 4
James Cooper - 4
Joel Lane - 4
Steve Rasnic Tem - 4
Nina Allan - 3
Carole Johnstone - 3
Gary McMahon - 3
Tony Richards - 3
Lynda Rucker - 3

And while I'm tossing out trivia, Kim Lakin-Smith has the distinction of being the only writer to appear in consecutive issues of Black Static, #12 and #13.

And there are ten writers stalled on two stories apiece, but Ray is the only only to have an unpublished story currently listed in "Story Acceptances", so he's odds on favourite to break from the pack

For those as anal as me, our leader board now looks like this:-
Daniel Kaysen - 6
James Cooper - 5
Tim Casson - 4
Ray Cluley - 4
Joel Lane - 4
Steve Rasnic Tem - 4
Nina Allan - 3
Carole Johnstone - 3
Gary McMahon - 3
Tony Richards - 3
Lynda E. Rucker - 3
Not much change, except James Cooper has pulled away from the pack on 4, and Ray Cluley has entered the top flight with 4. He has also joined Kim Lakin-Smith as the only person to be published in consecutive issues, and then gone one better with three consecutive issues.
It could get very 'interesting' over the next couple of issues. Looking at the story acceptances section of the site, Carole Johnstone is poised to separate herself from the cluster of people on 3, while Alison J. Littlewood, Simon Kurt Unsworth and Tim Lees are all in pole position to join them.
Exciting here, ain't it?

Are you sure of your numbers Pete? I thought Carole's latest acceptance was her third.
