Just in case anyone around the London(ish) area is bored today or tomorrow, Middlesex Uni are holding their annual student-organised literary festival, at Trent Park campus, Oakwood.

It's open to the public and free (apart from the workshops, which I think are £3 a pop for non-students). Not a bad line up really, particularly the horror pannel tomorrow afternoon. I'll be attending, since my gorgeous girlfriend is a student there, and I just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else fancies a go.

It was pretty damn good, especially the horror panel. There was even some free press for Black Static and Interzone, as Ellen Datlow mentioned them a couple of times.

Also impressive was Moazzam Begg, a British/Pakistni muslim who was held at Guantanamo bay for three years. Not really a literary thing, but very interesting.
