Me, too.
“'Secret Way!' said Anne, her eyes shining. ‘Oh, I hope it’s that! Secret Way! How exciting. What sort of secret way would it be, Julian?’
‘How do I know, Anne, silly?’ said Julian. ‘I don’t even know that the words are meant to mean “Secret Way.” It’s really a guess on my part.’”
-- Enid Blyton (Five Go Adventuring Again).

Me too. But the best, the very best book she ever wrote, was 'The Castle of Adventure.'
My sister says I'm wrong - she thinks the best was 'The Boy Next Door'!
Ah me, the power of words!
The mere mention of the Five's 'lashings of ginger beer 'and I am transported back to childhood and the room I shared with my sister. Our Blyton collection was on shelves below the window, under the hamster cage which was on the top one. There was pink wallpaper and Spanish fans on the wall - and a poster of the bullfighter 'El Cordobes' Now where did that come from after all these years?), my first crush.

Found it today in Julian Barnes's new book. Hadn't seen that word for years, but it is delightful.
