Looks gorgeous and read it yesterday. For what it's worth:
Cold and bleak in content, with characters that are more developed than the brevity should allow, McMahon's The Harm is a story that upsets as much as it pleases you to read it. You don't need to read the afterword to know where this story came from - you'll feel it for yourself a few pages in, and shame on anyone who cowers away from finishing it.

Not at all. Quite like it actually - found a couple of my comments on James Cooper's site, too. Maybe this review thing is worth a go if I can find the time between stories...

A fine review on Book Geeks by Simon Marshall-Jones.

Quote: And one on Tangent.
Can't say I think much of the Tangent 'review'. Out of 14 paragraphs 11 are spent simply regurgitating the entire plot from start to finish, in effect ruining the story for anyone who hasn't actually read it yet . Why do some people do this?

Mihai at Dark Wolf places The Harm at number 4 in his top six books of the first half of 2010.
