F'wise said "Everything's been fixed ... it was a bug that only affected the Mobipocket files." in response to our complaint.
Let us know if you find different.

Also a quote from the beeb website
Quote:
Apple said it had sold 450,000 iPads as of 8 April. Mr Jobs added that 600,000 electronic books and 3.5m applications had been downloaded for the iPad in the previous five days.

'Consumers Show Growing Satisfaction with e-Books' via Publishers Weekly and Andrew Porter.

No mention of F'wise though Barnes & Noble get a nod.

Publisher Ether Books gives short stories new lease of life on an iPhone. Guardian again.

I think F'wise sell individual short stories at 99c but maybe not for iPhones.

The Hugo voter electronic packet is now available and John Scalzi has listed its contents here.

You have to be a supporting member of the worldcon to get it but that'll only cost you £25, which is a bargain for what you get in the packet.

And then you also get to vote, of course.

The iPhone apps throwing light on best-selling books

Quote:
Authors such as Iain Banks and Martina Cole are increasingly supplementing book releases with apps full of bonus material

Do any of you read books on your iPhone?

Maybe TTA can sell its own E books from its own site

Quote:
Google will act as a wholesaler of e-books, aiding small e-retailers in a growing market.

I know; its Google, but can they be any worse than F'wise?

Publishing and the Digital Revolution by Edward Picot
This is a pretty long, forward looking and wide ranging article but it interesting and, I think, worth your time if you are an author or a publisher or likely to become such.

I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this, and here seems to be the wrong place too, but to briefly divert this thread: if you subscribe to the print version of a magazine, and your address changes halfway through subscription (because if this doesn't happen for me, then my life is truly going downhill) then who do I contact and how?

Fictionwise updated with Black Static 18 and Interzone 230. Today on page 2 of TTA's F'wise page at #37 and #41 respectively. These numbers should change to something closer to 1, 2, 3 or 4 fairly soon we expect.
