Well that was carnage. Basically everything that wasn't active went, and most importantly all the Spambots have been deleted.
Is it too early for a pint?

I think phpBB3 is going to take some getting used to... First, we're trying to reintegrate the forum into the website proper, with the appropriate colours, fonts, and website links across the top. That's a bit tricky, so Marc is having a go at that. After that hopefully it's just tweeking.

Accidentally discovered a nice feature that phpBB3 has that phpBB2 didn't. While I was making my previous post, up popped Pete's, giving me the option to edit my message. Far out. Yes, well done me! I was deleting those bastards at 4 o'clock this morning!

Unfortunately the registration problem seems to have been copied across from the old board. Investigating...

No sooner do we sign up a real person we get our first spam registration. Work to do there, obviously.

I'll start looking for a proper spam filter.

We could register for reCaptcha, and the various other counter spambot measures that come with phpBB3, Marc, which I haven't activated yet? I expect there are counter counter measures for them all, but early days yet. (Meanwhile, the spambot registrations are coming in thick and fast -- incredible!)

Aye, I'm catching the ones I see lol Looking in to recaptcha and the like just now, maybe we should change it to a Q&A for the moment?
