INTERACTION

Late last year I started a Facebook page/group/whatever-it's-called for TTA Press, knowing deep down that I'd never actually get round to finishing it or working out what I'd do with it other than connect it to the Twitter account which I'm not very good at either.

I don't suppose anybody would like to take it on? A good way to get more involved perhaps, if you enjoy that sort of thing. There's no money in it, we blew the budget on those MySpace administrators, who took the money and company car and ran.

If you don't find anyone else I wouldn't mind giving it a try. At least till you find some one better.

Marc, the job is yours if you still want it!

Now at 600 fans. Which is nice.

I'm never sure whether more activity on our FB is a good thing or not. We want people to visit our FB and eventually buy TTA publications so all the more the merrier but if we put up too many postings will people see so much stuff from TTA on their FB wall that they'll 'delike' us to get a bit of peace. There's probably a happy medium but what is it? Or am I guilty of last generation but one thinking?

I have put more links up recently and Marc has been very busy. It's all interesting stuff but is it too much or do we want more?

That's the thing with FB, I don't click on a tenth of the links that appear on my wall and I have actually "muted" pages so that their post's don't appear and I go visit them. Also FB now lumps multiple posts from one page together so it doesn't become overwhelming. Then again, the TTA page has not only increased in fans but in page views too. I also put all the links I post through bit.ly so I can see what sort of things people like.

If it's too much I can slow it down, I don't want to damage the TTA reputation in any way.

To be honest I think more TTA related news would be great. The advent calendar is brilliant because it will generate site hits here which can only be a good thing.
