If memory serves this award relies on editors/publishers nominating three works from their year's output. I haven't been asked every year (outside America after all) but I've never done that and never will.

“The Dogs Home” by Alison Littlewood did win the Shirley Jackson Short Fiction award on 12 July. Well done Alison.

In terms of fiction Molly Brown is still Interzone's most published female author. (12 stories between 1991 and 2002), and on Thursday, October 1st, Oblong Cinema in Leeds will be showing fourteen of Molly's weird/surreal short films.
