Thanks folks, glad you enjoyed it and, in one case at least, found inspiration.

I thought Des's creepy story had a Lovecraftian flavour to it, nice one Des :)

Cool story by Renee.. If only it was that easy, eh? lol

Great poem Roy, although I'll admit I had to look up a few of those names..

Nice dark, creepy, story Des. I liked it!

Really enjoyed your story, Bob! I'll look into the novel in the new year.

Liked David's story too, but the last third of the story really brought it home!

For some reason, I managed to forget to read stories yesterday. So...

Bob: Interesting taster :)

David: Loved the first footing idea. I wish I'd thought of it!

Gruesome and scary story David, brought back memories of when I was a kid and they did something similar with a piece of coal.
Thanks for the comments on mine, guys :)

Yes Darren, Otis Adelbert Kline is somewhat obscure now but I think most will recognise the other names. I did leave out Kuttner though. There are several alternative, umm, verses, (a word that claims too much) on my hard drive. Glad you liked it though.

Phew... just read 'Grandfather' by Dennis. What can one say about something like that?
Certainly disturbing.

Thanks for the comment, Bob. It was one of those poems where the pun on the title just seemed to naturally lead me there.
