Assuage is a fine word. But what are its merits when compared to 'assegai'?

My favourite word is Brobdingnagian. I think it crops up in a lot of Philip Jose Farmer books.

It wasn't chocolate digestives, was it, Des? It's just that chocolate,' digestive, and biscuits are among my favourite words.
(notice I haven't shared those words on here - I don;t share the biscuits either).

Incidentally, I have a theory about candle-dreamng and eternity. Havin a real candle-dream is bad news, of course. Luckily the protagonist in the story, I suggest, was only dreaming about candle-dreaming.
