I've tried that, and weeping too, but people just point and laugh... *sniff*

Just finished 'Pictures of the Dark', an amazing collection that has made the purchase of his Abaddon book a must.

There might be a review of "Tide of Souls" in next BS, and I have "Pictures of the Dark" in the TBR pile, though I can remember many of the stories, particularly those that appeared in Nasty Piece of Work, from their first time around.

Cheers Rolnikov.

Personally, I'm just gagging to get back to asking people important stuff, like whether they prefer burgers or pizza

Last, but not least, Allen Ashley, editor of "Subtle Edens", has the mic:-

It's been fun, but if we do it again next year I really, really, really need to organise things better

A great interview, but I'm still convinced that when Allen says 'Slipstream', I say 'New Wave'. Bruce Sterling's original SF Eye manifesto did call on the genre to evolve, all the same, and he hoped that it would also develop a critical body of work to march alongside the fiction.

Just a reminder to any BFS or FantasyCon members who haven't seen a reminder yet - today's the last day to vote, and you can do it online here.

Still milking the BFAs for all they are worth, I have just posted some of my own choices for the awards on the Case Notes blog:-

Stories by Bob Lock and Stephen Bacon in Cone Zero were among the very best I read last year

I second Bob's comment, Pete. You've no idea how much that means to me.
