The new issue is at press now and will be mailed out in a couple of weeks. Seven stories from familiar names and rising stars Alexander Glass, Tony Richards, Garth Marenghi creator Matthew Holness, Ian R. Faulkner, Will McIntosh, and debut sales from Carole Johnstone and Seth Skorkowsky. Worked my way through issue #3 over the weekend, and liked it a lot. Only a couple of the stories didn't really work for me, but I thought the Glass, McIntosh and Holness were especially good.
Does the re-emergence of Alexander Glass mean we can expect more from him in the foreseeable?
And I've got to say, that cover. Oh man. That's one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

I've read all the stories, which for me are the meat of the magazine, and I'll browse through the reviews and stuff later. The Fantasy Jumper has themes and ideas and images that will stay with me, as does The Pit. The story about the toad man didn't work for me at all.
The story about the thieves in the mist was OK, kind of old style swords and sorcery, and I liked the ending.
