Don't forget that competitions are open only to current subscribers. Enter as many as you like and send your answers by email to bs8competitions@ttapress.demon.co.uk by the closing date of 31st December. Winners will be drawn from a hat and announced on this forum.

All DVDs are Region 2.

We have 3 copies of TOKYO ZOMBIE.
Who directed Tadanobu Asano in Vital (2004)?

We have 3 copies of DEATH NOTE 2.
Kaneko filmed ‘The Cold’ for what feature?

We have 3 copies of X-CROSS.
What is Kenta Fukasaku’s next film?

We have 3 copies of THE TATTOOIST.
What sci-fi TV show did Jason Behr star in?

We have 3 copies of DRIFTWOOD.
Who co-wrote Driftwood?

All these films and many others are reviewed by Tony Lee in Black Static 8's Blood Spectrum column.

Please feel free to comment on any of these films. I'd personally like to recommend Death Note 2. Brilliant.

A drop in the number of entries this time, but I don't suppose that's entirely surprising given the time of year. I'm a bit behind myself and haven't even made the draw yet! Will get it done pronto. And chase up the prizes -- again -- none of which have arrived -- again.

I really must get this done, sorry. But the DVDs aren't sitting here waiting, none of them have arrived yet (a couple aren't released, from memory). I've chased them up though, I always have to do that...

Argh! Ditto. Sorry. But none of the prizes have arrived yet despite me chasing them up again -- I like to run these competitions but what a pain this part is. Anyway, draw soon. Promise!

Here, with apologies once again for the delay, are the lucky winners:

Tokyo Zombie
David McWilliam
Robert Beisley
Leon Marvell

Death Note 2
Paul Woodward
Russell Sanderson
Linda Martin

X-Cross
Alison Oxley
Paul Cragg
David Bell

The Tattooist
Matthew Lenny
Austin Rowlands
Paul Kenyon

Driftwood
Dan McKee
Paul Edwards
Judith Cooper

The Tattooist is here. Tokyo Zombie, Death Note 2 and X-Cross are apparently on their way (again? Been chasing them up for ages). But NB: Driftwood has now been put back to 30th March, so no retail copies yet. Prizes will be sent immediately they arrive.

Please let us know what you think of the films!

Fewer entries this time, after a sharp rise the time before. I suspect that had something to do with the time of year. Afraid I didn't get round to posting BS9's competitions in advance (will put them up in a minute) but I hope we get more entries, and it'll be interesting to see if a straightforward draw -- no questions this time -- makes any difference.

It's still ](*,) I'm afraid. These are coming from the same company, a fairly easy thing to do you would've thought. Sorry.

It's also an easy thing to send The Tattooist to the winners, and I've had those for a while, so I'm just as bad. These are now in the post.

BS9 draw winners announced on the other thread any minute now...

I'm looking forward to Death Note 2. I saw Death Note 1 on the tv last week. The demon hanging on his shoulder, 'give us an apple' is excellent.
Has 'The Shutter' arrived yet from a previous competition?
:)

I'm afraid Shutter did not turn up, and I can't find who it was who offered the competition prizes. I usually have records, but this must've happened over the phone and I neglected to make a note. I've tried and haven't given up, and rest assured that as soon as I do discover who to chase up, I will.

The whole competition thing should be easy but as you've gathered it's become a real chore -- it's a very rare thing for prizes to just turn up without me having to chase, then sometimes chase again... Bear with me! :)

Driftwood has finally been released and the competition copies have arrived. They'll be in the post soon.
