His short story 'My Stone Desire' in BS 1 won the BFS award for 2007.

Agreed, it's one of the stories that really stuck with me from BS1. "Even the Pawn" in Crimewave 10 is also very good.

Yes, congratulations Joel. I think he's writing some of the best stories of his career right now, and we have another coming soon to Black Static -- 'Some of Them Fell' -- which is absolutely brilliant.

Just like to add my belated congratulations to Joel - it's very well deserved. I read Even the Pawn last night - pared-down and haunting, i agree with Andy that Joel is getting better and better.
