Yeah, I noticed that. I assumed it was some kind of new thing that everyone else knew about and I'd missed out on, so I didn't say anything in case people thought I was stupid.
I'm looking forwards to reading it, though. Although what I'm not too sure I get is why you don't put the date on the cover. Personally, I'd find that very useful, but perhaps I'm alone. I don't necessarily mean today's date. Just, you know, 'September 2007' sort of thing.

Maybe it's an "Emperor's new clothes" sort of thing, where we all have to pretend to be knowledgable and pretend remember when it came out
Despite lack of date, t'is very shiny and I want one
Also, do all the images posted in messages do that?

Perfect artwork for the launch issue, I suggest.
Kafkaesque transformation set to fly.

Nice cover! Dark and strange.
I imagine everyone who's had a story accepted is thinking the same thing: "Oh please, oh please...let mine be in the first issue."

That is an amazing cover. Is the page size of Black Static going to be like IZ or will it be smaller like Crimewave?

Same size as Interzone, Rob (200mm wide x 276mm high).
All original art and design direction is by David Gentry.
