Now that's different, and rather striking too. Puts me in mind of the old Fear, if anyone can remember that.
When I read 'What would Alfred do?' my first thought was of Bruce Wayne's butler, though it's probably going to be Alfred Hitchcock.

I actually like the idea of changing the cover design with every issue (as it's quite the opposite of 'static')...
But how long will it be before Andy runs out of layout/ font options?

I like this cover too. Is that illustration of Steve Jones the Les Edwards one?
Pete, I remember Fear. What a great magazine that was! I read last year that John Gilbert was considering resurrecting it in some form...

Yeah, I think I saw an interview with him a while back, where he was talking about reviving Fear, or it might have been an interview with Joss Whedon where he talked about reviving "Buffy". I'm old and I get confused easy.
I still have all my copies of Fear bagged and boxed.

I still have all the Fear staff bagged and boxed.
Fear introduced us to the reviewing and interviewing talents of Peter Crowther, and included an early Nicholas Royle story. Those were its solitary redeeming features.

Too harsh Joel! There was also Mark Chadbourn's first published story, an excerpt from Ramsey Campbell's "Ancient Images" and a story by Shaun Hutson

Let's get back on topic – I do like the partitioned cover of BS #19. Busy covers suggest wealth and density of content. Nothing wrong with the single-image covers but this concept is somehow more enticing.
