The new issue has now gone to press, and we usually get a turnaround time of about 5 days, so could I ask subscribers to please check the inserts in issue 25 for a reminder and renew promptly if necessary, so we can include your copy in the main mailing?

Thank you, and for your support through yet another year! :)

Details, images and extracts of Black Static 26 will appear on the website in the next day or two, but there are the usual columns by Pete Tennant, Tony Lee, Chris Fowler, Steve Volk and Mike O'Driscoll, plus stories by Ray Cluley, Mark Rigney, Carole Johnstone, Andrew Hook, Gary McMahon, and artwork by Ben Baldwin, Mark Pexton, Paul Milne, and Rik Rawling.

We'll have a few new things to offer you in 2012 so please stick around...

Someone taking a short cut in a McMahon story can't be a good idea...

Just asking for trouble.

For the easily amused, here's a link to my ratings for DVD & blu-ray reviews in this issue's Blood Spectrum column.

A pleasant sight on a dark, cold December day - Black Static 26 arrived on my doorstep in Edinburgh. It'll give me something to get lost in while I slog through the work-hell of Xmas retail. Nearly there...

Another great selection of stories, tough to pick a favourite but gun to head I'd go with Ray Cluley's 'I Have Heard The Mermaids Singing'; someone really should put out his collection.

The columns and reviews were once again sublime. I always feel a little bit better educated after reading Stephen Volk's articles.
