The new issue has gone to press and will be mailing out about the 12th February.

Cover art is by Ben Baldwin.

Image

New horror stories by James Cooper, Simon Kurt Unsworth, Sarah Singleton, Daniel Kaysen, Alan Scott Laney. Illustrations by Ben Baldwin, Jim Burns, David Gentry, Rik Rawling.

Peter Tennant's Case Notes featured author is Alexandra Sokoloff. Pete reviews The Price and The Harrowing, and interviews the author. You can also win a copy of each novel. Other Case Notes features include recent PS Publishing novellas and Australian Horror.

Tony Lee's Blood Spectrum covers a lot of current and forthcoming DVD/Blu-ray releases, and you can win several of them, including Paranormal Activity, Surrogates, Triangle (my personal pick), The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, The Long Weekend remake and many others.

Plus the usual columns by Christopher Fowler, Stephen Volk, Mike O'Driscoll, and Pete's round up of news in White Noise.

More detail and a dedicated thread soon. Meanwhile, please check the status of your subscriptions (see the insert in your most recent issue) and renew if necessary, or take out a new subscription now by clicking on the big Shop link in the bar across the top of this website. Thanks!

Good cover!
Revenge of the killer-bunny, or mad-as-hell March hare?

It reminds me of the film where you've got the baby sitter boiling the rabbit.
I can't remember what it was called but it was famous at the time?

Fatal Attraction?

More of a Donnie Darko resonance for me...

Fatal Attraction. Yes. Michael Douglas and Glenn Close. I can't think of rabbits without her stuffing the pet rabbit fur and all into a boiling pot! Re-defined the meaning of bunny-boiler.
Not quite a horror film but grim all the same.

It was definitely a Donnie Darko moment that came to me...

Redefined? Isn't it where bunny-boiler comes from?
If not, my God - who else has done it?!!!

Ray, you're right. I think Fatal Attraction did start the bunny-boiler thing

I know it's not quite the same, but there was a dead rabbit (that rots) in Polanski's Repulsion.

Hmm, and apart from obvious terrors in Night Of The Lepus... any more sightings or mentions of rabbit-related horror?

We're heading in a strange direction here...

Must admit that I thought Watership Down's Rabbit of Death (had a special name in the book that I can't remember ) was creepy.

And let's not forget the fearsome furry critter in The Holy Grail...

And why not?
Just wondering how frivolous and off-topic this can get before a mod locks the thread.
:P
