Another good magazine all round. I enjoy delving into the book reviews to give me ideas for what to read, and then books for review land on my doormat so...never mind the reviews were good even though I'll probably not now get around to following any up.
The stories were as strange as ever. The cockroach hotel was real yuk! I imagine that is what was intended.
I had a problem though with the plague city and the opera house. I really think the man ought to have let his wife go. I found it difficult to sympathise with him.
I thought the teenagers in the cave story difficult to get to grips with. I couldn't quite visualise the darkness. Darkness that swallows. I was labouring a bit with it.
On S'words the PC ebook emulators show the Kindle version of Black Static 25 working better than the EPub where I can't get pages to break in the right place or links to take readers to the intended point after that break.

Black Static #25 is now on Amazon and you can 'look inside'. This issue is from February 2011 and Alison Littlewood's story 'About the Dark' has been selected as one of the year's best. We leave "Text-to-Speech: Enabled" does anyone take advantage? Is it worthwhile?
