I especially liked:
The Ships Like Clouds by Jason Sanford
When Thorns are Tips... by Jason Sanford
Greenland by Chris Beckett
Rat Island by Chris Beckett
Far Horizon by Jason Stoddard
The Scent of Their Arrival by Mercurio Rivera
The Country of the Young by Gord Sellar
Pseudo Tokyo by Jennifer Linnaea

I also liked Street Hero by Will McIntosh, His Master's Voice by Rajaniemi, Endra from Memory by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Crystal Nights by Egan, Corner of the Circle by Lees and Africa by Fishler.

I didn't like Mundane issue, but that's not the negative vote.

I was especially glad that I discovered new excellent writer, Jason Sanford. His stories may not be perfect, but are the show of the great talent.
Beckett issue was great with excellent illustrations, and mr. Rivera is putting out very strong fiction. Hope to see more of him elsewhere.

Too late to vote (in fact I only just discovered issue 219 under a pile of books) but let me congratulate you on a strong year with many exceptional stories :)

Thanks everybody who voted and commented.

Thanks also, once again, to Martin McGrath who oversaw the Poll, counted votes for and against, logged comments and passed on some useful statistics. Here are some extracts from Martin's summary:

"The number of votes was down slightly on last year but the number of positive votes rose sharply while negative voting fell back. … At the top of the poll Jason Sanford is the clear winner with the most popular story of all ('When Thorns Are the Tips of Trees' from issue 219) and another story ('The Ships Like Clouds, Risen by Their Rain' from issue 217) at number four. … Issue 217 was the most popular. The Mundane-SF issue 216 fared less well, limping in last. … The art vote was marginally higher than last year but exceptionally close. 'Traveller', Kenn Brown's cover to issue 219, came out on top by virtue of having one more positive vote than six rivals on the same aggregate score."

Full results and readers' comments appear in issue 222, out on May 14th, but below are the top ten stories and top five artworks of Interzone's 2008 issues, as voted by you. Congratulations to all.

1. When Thorns are the Tips of Trees by Jason Sanford
2. The Scent of Their Arrival by Mercurio D. Rivera
3. Crystal Nights by Greg Egan
4. The Ships Like Clouds, Risen by Their Rain by Jason Sanford
5. Greenland by Chris Beckett
6. Concession Girl by Suzanne Palmer
7. Little Lost Robot by Paul McAuley
8. His Master’s Voice by Hannu Rajaniemi
9. Africa by Karen Fishler
10. Butterfly, Falling at Dawn by Aliette de Bodard

1. Traveller (219 cover) by Kenn Brown
2. The Ships Like Clouds, Risen by Their Rain (217 illustration) by Vincent Chong
3. Little Lost Robot (217 illustration) by Paul Drummond
4. Corner of the Circle (218 illustration) by Warwick Fraser-Coombe
5. Greenland (218 cover) by Warwick Fraser-Coombe

Thanks to everyone who voted for my stories, and a massive thanks to Andy Cox and the Interzone editors for publishing my writings! While I may be a writer, I'm having trouble finding the words to express how moved I am by so many people liking "When Thorns Are the Tips of Trees" and "The Ships Like Clouds, Risen by Their Rain."

Again, many thanks to everyone!
