If my endorsement means anything...
Incandescence is truly great hard-SF, and it's worth mentioning that there's a ton of background material (Java required!) about the novel on the author's website including some interactive-geometry fun & games, and a short story, Riding The Crocodile, which serves as a 'prequel' to the novel.

Gollancz tell us:

“Unfortunately there’s been a bit of a mix up, and the principle edition that has just come out is a large format paperback at £12.99 and not a hardback at £18.99. We’re still more than happy to do the offer and I have instructed the mailing house to adjust the price to £6.99 still with free p&p so it’s still a half price offer and cheaper than amazon!”

Any Interzone reader ringing through with the original offer and reference number will be offered this deal. If you want to take advantage of it now please ring 01903 828503 (overseas readers dial 44 1903 828503) and quote reference number MA03. Postage and packing is free within the UK, overseas readers will be charged £1.60.

The hardback edition was apparently a very small run that was done for libraries although a few may have escaped into retail.
