I've read it. Enjoyed all the stories and have also had some bizarre encounters in the Arches in my time. Strange place. Urban legend has it that they were intended as the new location for the WWII government if London fell - although why would they pick a place directly under the largest railway station in the West of Scotland? - and when the place was reopened at the end of the eighties they discovered that the lights had been left on since the forties. Ahem.

All the stories were good, and Fata Morgana is a very evocative and beautifully written novelette.

Possibly somewhat unfair Jim as Williams reviews most issues and seems pretty fair. Here are his thought on your Digital Rites in IZ 237.

Seems the only real problem is with them all being a bit depressing, so more a comment on the overall tone of this issue rather than a criticism of particular stories. I like to think mine at least suggested a possibility of hope but i won't take it to heart, the narrator's life WAS a crappy one!

You can never please everybody, whatever you do. I was a bit amused as well as irritated by somebody called Cass saying in a blog that Digital Rites was deliberately long to keep women writers out! Better get off for that sex-changed operation, then!

Yes, that was my take on that review too. I thought it was a pretty decent issue myself though at the darker end of the spectrum.

Uploaded Interzone 238 to Fictionwise. We are in the right year now and an issue behind. Not quite fast enough for the readers poll as that closed yesterday and IZ 238 won't go live on F'wise until 3 April or maybe 10 April. Onwards to Smashwords.

E Interzone 238 at a new low price for a few days on Smashwords. Why - TTA Press ebooks are sold on both Smashwords and Fictionwise. The latter insist that we cannot sell ebook versions of our magazines elsewhere at a lower price than that on their site. Smashwords prices at $4.99 reflect this as we have a contract with Fictonwise. However F'wise discount prices in their first on sale week and also for 'club' members so this inclines us to reduce Smashwords prices to match F'wise club and launch discounts and see what happens. That means selling issues at $3.60 on Smashwords until 1 week after F'wise go live with a new issue and then $4.24 once Fictionwise reduce their first week discount. Does that make a difference? Let us know your thoughts.
