Still 209 down there at the Plaza, Roy. And it was no problem. There was a salad place I wanted to have dinner and as well as snap some more digital pics.

Not selling, not good news for us.
If you take digital pictures with IZ 210 on the shelf in the Plaza, when they arrive, please send us copies. As they were when you walk in is best to get a realistic view of the sales environment. (I always increase 'exposure' when I see Iz stuck behind lesser mags in shops.)

Roy, let me be more accurate in my statement.

I purchased a copy of IZ 209 a week or two ago. When I went down there, there were two copies on the rack. After my purchase, there was only one.

When I did a spot check yesterday, there were two copies again.

That tells me someone at the store restocked the shelf. That, Roy, is a good sign. Because at the Borders I go to up in the Northland, they've not restocked the Asimov's there in months (and it most certainly is not selling, where as Analog and F&SF appear to be selling, I even buy one or the other ever so often).

I also know that if you were in MAC the day I was there, you would have found only one copy of IZ 210 on the shelf. Since I didn't buy one (didn't want to muck up the stats) here is the probably count on the ten down there short of asking the folks there.

My Mom has one copy.
My Gender Studies prof has at least one copy.
My Chief Research Commander (I hand silly titles out because I can't pay anyone anything and she is my significant other) has one.

And likely as not, one is in the hands of the store owners as they look over the story.

That was as of nearly two weeks ago. I don't know what the stock status is, but I highly suspect the folks at MAC restock as Barnes and Noble does.

As needed.

Just a guess but that is what I saw and what I know.

Hope this helps.

Respects,
S. F. Murphy

I do what little I can, Roy. Part of it is self interest, but most of it is truly the act of a Fan who wishes he could have purchased his copies of IZ sooner.

I suppose I could have been more of a presence at KC ConQuest here last weekend or see about being available for the Heinlein Event coming up but crowds make me edgy.

Oh, I might have a line on someone who MAY record the reading video wise. I'll let you all know one way or the other.

Respects,
S. F. Murphy

IZ209 is at the Barnes & Noble in Wheaton Illinois. I called corporate way, way back to try to get them to carry it. So I took it to the front, told them all about how I was in 210, and told them to call me when it came in so I could sign it. We'll see how that goes.

Copy and Ditto what Tim said. I'll do the same thing for the BN here in KC.

IZ 210 arrived in Sydney Australia May 30. A week or so later than usual, but in good condition.

Three days later than Brisbane, Australia. Postal geography never ceases to amaze.

Two copies spotted at the Hasting's in San Marcos, Tx. I promptly informed some of the staff that I had a story within those hallowed pages. They seemed suitably impressed.

Will check the New Braunfels Hasting's this evening, but I suspect it will be there as well.

Hastings were the one retailer our US distributor seemed sure of.
Let us know if they've gone next time you swing past.
Thanks Jayme
