Rich Horton review in Locus 595. He only mentions one story but says of it, "I enjoyed the always colorful Jason Sanford [...] Intriguing and a worthwhile base story for what seems like a planned series."

I'm so far behind with my reading it's not funny. Just finished issue 228 - loved Untied States of America (fantastic premise), Iron Monk and Plague Birds.

Gardner Dozois reviews Interzone 228 in October's Locus. It's certainly not his favourite issue of Interzone, but he says that Jason Sanford's Plague Birds is "good solid entertainment."

Listened to Plague Birds now and its well done. Thanks for the notice Jim. Afterwards on the podcast Jason says he's written another story in the same setting and has more in mind.
