I've started watching the third series of LOST on DVD (not possessing Sky TV). This is a satisfyingly brisk and sometimes violent resumption of the series and its involuted intricacies make me keep thinking of the phrase I invented in my 2003 book 'Weirdmnger': The Synchronised Shards of Random Truth and Fiction. It somehow makes fabrication realler than non-fabrication. As does the TV series of 'Life on Mars'. Magic Fiction transposed to the screen?

SPOILERS?

I've just finished watching LOST up to the end of Series 4.

A mix of Narnia (Charlotte Staples-Lewis), Verne, Wells, Dr Who...

This is about the only TV screen fiction that I can stomach these days. Its essence reminds me of the subtitle I gave my book WEIRDMONGER: THE NEMONICON(Prime Books 2003):

The Synchronised Shards of Random Truth and Fiction

========
"I am Desmond."
-- C.S. Lewis
