Neat little chiller from France, on C4 tonight between 1.10 and 2.35.

Fortunately I don't need to stay up that late, as I have it on DVD. Definitely recommended.

Yes, it's a great low-budget film... reviewed by Gary McMahon here (9/10), and included in Jonathan McCalmont's top 10 French horrors.

Now, is that enough positive comments to make you really want to see it?

watched half of it and then realised it was my turn to get up with the little 'un this morning (plus the beer had run out...) - is Eden Lake based on this as in the 45 minutes or so i watched a lot seemed to be very similar??
i definitely try and watch the rest at some point as it was racking the tension up nicely.

I haven't seen "Eden Lake", but from the description on imdb you're right that it does sound similar, though they don't acknowledge any direct link.

^that was why i was wondering as Eden Lake is always described as 'uniquely british' etc. but from the moment you see the woman at school in Ils i was thinking hang on a mo this looks familiar...
