I read it a couple of years ago, having come across it by accident in a second hand bookshop on Ynys Mon (Anglesey for you Englishers...).

I did enjoy it, though it was not quite the Wyndhamesque classic I was hoping for. Good post-apocalypse stuff though, albeit dated. Definitely worth tracking down, and perhaps your first place to try is abebooks.co.uk

We had to read a section of the story for our English O Level etc, about several years ago I picked it up from a second hand book shop it enjoyable but not brilliant like his Day of the Triffeds

everywhere i've looked online seem to want extortiante amounts of sterling for it - above the £50 mark, minimum!

I'm now three quarters of the way through john christophers 'the world in winter' which is also blowing my socks off!! got 'wrinkle in the skin' coming as well :D :D :D

'the world in winter' was an excellent reader not quite as good as 'the death of grass' but only marginally. i've just started his 'a wrinkle in the skin'

Radio 4 did a good adaptation recently (narrated by David Mitchell!). The last three episodes are currently still up on the BBC iplayer.

^and well deserved!

'wrinkle in the skin' was grim as grim towards the end and realy reminded me of cormac mccarthys 'the road'
