Friends of The Future Fire (including representatives of Whispers of Wickedness, TTA, and others) are invited to join us for a speculative literary bash in London on Saturday, June 14th, from 14:30 onwards. We shall be meeting in the Coach and Horses pub, on the corner of Great Marlborough St and Poland Street (see this map) about five minutes from Oxford Circus tube--a short underground ride from all the major stations into and out of London. (When you turn up, please *don't* buy your drinks or food downstairs, as we have a minimum spend we need to reach at the upstairs bar.)

Guests are welcome to bring their own writing or other work to read (please try to bring items that can be read in 10-15 minutes), or perform, or show. We shall have a projector available, and anticipate that there will be some short films, animations, or other multimedia artwork on display. Please let us know if you'd like to contribute to this, or to any other kind of performance. (If you can't make it in person but would like to share something, that might also be arranged.) If you'd like to bring along goodies to sell, or even better to give away, please feel free also.

For news and updates on this event, please see the WoW messageboards. We're open to suggestions.

It would be great to see you there, Troo. Feel free to bring stuff to show, read, give away, etc.

Badges good.

Also bringing fridge magnets. And I can exclusively announce that a couple of magazines are sending back issues up for grabs. We'll probably come up with some competition for all these prizes. ;-)

That competition he mentioned. It's the "Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink" Writing Competiton and details are here:-

Entry free and open to everyone, even if you're not going to the speculative fiction bash.

Rumour over at the Whispers boards is that the first prize might be something by Ferrari...
