Just got back from the con and a pretty darn good affair it was too!

Went to three lectures, the Jasper Fforde one on Jane Eyre, Vampires and Time Travel. Rhys Hughes' OuLiPo and finally Steve Lockley's Holding the Monkey's Paw. All three were highly entertaining and very well done. More over on my blog (including photos)

Sorry Stephen! I'd have liked to have attended your 'Before and Afterlife' but it clashed with Rhys's OuLiPo lecture and I'd gone to so much trouble finding the rotten tomatoes and bad eggs... (as it turned out though they weren't needed as his talk was pretty darn good!)
Steve Upham thinks this will be an ongoing event so I hereby promise to give precedence to your lecture at the next one :)

I wanted to get your signature on my 'Doorways' copy too but didn't cross paths with you somehow to ask, even though I was sitting behind you at the Monkey's Paw lecture. (I blame all those time-rifts that were congregating around the place hoping that Doctor Who would turn up...)

Best,
Bob

Mild derailment: Cheers for the Hammer column for Pantechnicon, Steve. It went down a treat :D
