OK, roll call! Who's attending?

I know that GLP will be there, as will Sandy A. and the tireless Roy, and rumour has Jetse down as a maybe. Anyone else?

I might as well take this opportunity to plug the panel I'm moderating at 6:30pm on the Friday evening; it's all about the worth and purpose of book reviews and criticism, and I hope some of you will come along and join in the discussion.

Maybe we should have an Interzone staff/contributors/long-standing friends/subscribers meet-up? I seem to remember Roy mooting the idea of a celebration of IZ's 25th anniversary at the Glasgow con last year - did anything come of that? If not, is it too late to knock something informal together? I have a room in the con hotel if we need somewhere to host a small soiree...

I'm thinking about it, but with it being the weekend after World Horror and the car needs a service, I don't think I'll make it...

I will be there and barring train disasters will be in the audience for that panel!

I'd considered it, but I'd be heading up on my own and I don't know if I could handle 6 hours on trains! Damn shame.

It's going to be 5 and a half hours for me, but I went to my first con last year, and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one just as much - if not more, as I'll actually be staying in the con hotel this time.

Seriously, dude - I have a double room, and I'll happily kip on the floor if you want to share for half the price.

Ehrm...

If previous experience is any guide, you'd both be sleeping on the floor, being inebriated beyond reprieve and all that...

That's no bother for me ... finding someone to split that hefty room price is, however!

Have you confirmed your attendance status yet, Jetse? It would be ace to meet up again, and I'd like to do a small interview with you at some point if you're about - I will supply the necessary beverages, naturally!

Cheapskatily I will be staying in a B&B at £30 per night about a half mile from the con hotel.

I'm still thinking about it: possibly I might cheapskate with Roy in the same B&B.

Decide soon these places tend to fill quickly once everybody knows.

Roy--

You're supposed to sell Interzone, not nights at a Chester B&B...

I guess it's just in your blood. Anyway, I'll take a serious look at at this coming week.

While you're at it, Roy, I met some arabs with a serious shortage of sand the other night... ;)

Hey, that's a mighty kind offer, cheers dude! Tell you what, I'll look into whether or not I can afford it, get time off etc. and PM you later?

Where are you heading up from, btw? I'm wondering if it's the same sort of region as me as the travel time is similar. I'm in Brighton...
