Hi all,

There is a roundtable discussion event about science fiction coming up at the Burton Gallery, Leeds. Would anyone be interested in taking part? They are looking for people who are local if possible, as they can only pay travel expenses.

More info below:

The event is planned for Saturday the 4th June on the topic of science fiction. This would be part of a series of events relating to an exhibition of science fiction art entitled ‘Visions of the Future: the Art of Science Fiction’ which I’m involved in running at the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery, based at the University of Leeds. The exhibition is on from 4th April – 11th June. Please follow the link for further information:

We already have one speaker confirmed for the event; Dr Samuel Francis writes on J.G. Ballard and is having a book published soon. Unfortunately we are unable to offer payment to our speakers beyond expenses but I hope it will be a good opportunity to get together a group of people working in different fields with a shared interest and enthusiasm for science fiction.

If you are interested please contact Liz Stainforth via email (please replace the 'at' with @!)
