I've heard that the queen has commissioned a special sword for the occasion, it's going to be made of wood and have an extremely pointy end to it.

Sir Christopher Lee... Nobody deserves it more (and I'm talking regardless of his Hammer House days).

The moment I saw MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, I never looked back. The actor became a cult favorite for me.

And fantastic performances in his old age in LOTR and Star Wars as Count Dooku (even though the other actors, other than McGregor, were severely lacking).

However, I would have liked to have seen more of Count Dooku in the SW prequels. His parts were too short.

Bob, don't go there

Agree about Lee. He brings class and professionalism to every role, and in some movies he's the only good thing going for them. And also nice to see someone from a horror background honoured.

Hehe, Pete, as I scrolled down I started salivating but you pre-empted me, so I won't go there (won't be worth it anyway no-one likes short parts)

I thought his judge in Sleepy Hollow was great. Tiny part, but stole the scene.

Tiny part

Anyone else notice that his parts are shrinking the older he gets? Can we all expect this to happen as time takes its toll?

A knighthood? Surely they could have made him a count instead?

Him and Julian Glover... another great, who has a few Shakespeare roles, Doctor Who cameos, Empire Strikes Back and a James Bond film behind him. And plenty of others I'm sure if I had the memory and time I could think of.
